Public site analytics
The built-in analytics store daily totals for page views, finder searches and outbound product clicks. Finder-demand records contain the selected stain, selected material, whether an answer existed, a count and dates. The application does not intentionally store a visitor name, email address, cookie identifier or IP address with those events. We use these totals to operate the site, identify missing research and understand which pages are useful.
Server logs
The hosting provider may process IP addresses, browser details, requested URLs and security events in ordinary server logs for delivery, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Retention and access depend on the hosting account configuration.
If you email us, we process the address, message and any information you choose to include so that we can respond, manage the enquiry and keep necessary records. Do not send sensitive information that is not needed.
Sharing and international services
We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by service providers needed to run the site and email account. Following a retailer or source link takes you to a separate organisation with its own privacy notice.
Retention and your rights
Aggregate site statistics are kept while useful for operating the library. Emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry and related records. UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Changes
